Pupular Mechanics Encyclopedia, Volume 7 (Me-Pa) Copyright 1955 has tons of plans and instructions on building brick, concrete, stone and rubble outdoor fireplaces and grills (wood/coal/charcoal). Try to locate this book via old book stores or libraries. The other links will only direct you to gas grills/fireplaces and will want to charge and advertise their inserts. Don't bother with them, get this book and you will be satisfied!
