We moved into a bi-level home with deck off kitchen on second floor... this deck was screened in plus the roof was ribbed colored fiberglass panels. We lived there 4 years, that roof had been there 8 years prior to our moving in and now 4 years later is
still there. Never a moments problem, this was in a suburb 15 miles south of the city of chicago, so snow was present and still no problems... go for it!
