Painting hardwood floors to cover heavy urine stains.

I took up the carpet and discovered very deep, and old urine stains covering as much as 30% of the hardwood floor.

We want to paint the floor where we can and stain the rest. (This is an old house which we will sell and we do not want to invest a lot of money.)

What paint or stain should we use?
