My bathtub is stained from iron in the water. I've corrected the problem with a water softner system. The chemicals I've used to remove the iron in the past have eaten away at the porcelin. How does one re-porcelin a tub? Other options are to install a tub fitter over it, $800, or to tear it out and install a new tub.
