I am digging fence post holes for a garden fence (6-7 ft high). For many of the holes I have hit bedrock between 1-2 ft into the ground. The frostline here is about 30" deep. I am not so much worried about being below the frostline (because of the bedrock) but want to know guidelines against wind loading. 1ft deep is not much of an anchor.
