40-80 is a 'normal' range with 60psi being an "optimal" setting, but you can find city water supplies that exceed 150 psi or more depending where you live.
While 150 psi can be considered 'normal' for some areas, it is not desirable and would need to be reduced with a pressure reducing valve to avoid damage to plumbing appliances and parts.
