My 90 year old radiators provide to much heat with a modern boiler. They appear to be modularly built (a series of ribs held together by tie-rods). I propose to remove tie-rod nuts, remove some ribs. hacksaw and tap tie-rods, and retighten rods. Will this work? WILL IT LEAK? The system is single pipe steam. Thanks.
