If you subscribe to DSL, the carrier is on your line automatically. Because DSL can interfere with voice communications, filters are installed on each voice or fax line. The line to your computer DSL modem should not have a filter. You may choose to cancel the line without DSL. Other than installing the filters which plug into phone jacks between the jack and phone, you don't need to do any wiring unless you need to install additional jacks. There is NO difference in wiring DSL and conventional phone jacks.
