Alum-a-Lube

Greetings Barry,

First of all, you should not be using WD40 on aluminum windows, (it holds the dirt), you should use Alum-a-Lube spray.

Spray all ther areas that move on both sides of the window and then spray the gear box.

Don't try to tighten the window by cranking on the handle. this will cause it to strip and could be causing the window, not to close all the way.

You may need to replace the gear box. You should try your local Home Improvement Company or try www.crlaurence.com for parts.
