Hi,DJ, Lets atart from the begining shall we, now what you need is, take away the gravel, next dig down about 5" lay a layer of sharp sand about 3", lay a row of bricks alone the edge of both sides of your drive way,. turn them on edge ( not on end) you will have to hire a vibrating machine go over the sand to compress it. when you have done that put more sand in the middle this is for the run off of water. again compress to the hight you want, normaly is about 1 in 15 +/- remember the bricks along the edge of the drive, well they will be about 2" above the sand. You will require sand and cement 1 of cement to 6 of sand and it must be semi dry ( hold it in your hand and it will hold its shape) spred the cement about 3' from the end of the drive, this is where you start to place the cobbles into the cement compact together. Cobbles or stones or bricks can be used. But before you go running out the drive, have a chat with a bricklayer just to confirm what I have wrote. Happy back problems. John 2000
