Building a deck for my Motherinlaw,and the dryer vent is 5' from the end of the deck.
The dryer is in the basement,so the vent is about 14" off the ground(just about my deck height)
Were the deck a few feet off the ground Iwouldn't worry about it,but being that it is 16" off the ground and it is 2X10 joist and I'm closing off the bottom (to keep the critters out)the warm moist air from the vent won't move much and I feel this will create big trouble down the road.
I can't relocate the vent from the inside without major finish work to the finished basement.Can I run 5' of vent under the deck to vent to the outside of the deck?
