In reply to YOUR INSULATION PROBLEM by CHRIS MAUTHE on May 14th, 2003 05:53 PM [Go to top of thread]

Hi.
We bought an old house that has no insulation. We contacted insulation contractors and found two who could inject an insulating foam into the walls from the exterior. There is a choice however as to the type of insulation. the choices are: tripolymer or air-krete. The latter claimed that tripolymer is not safe because it is treated with formaldehyde and outgases over time. We're not sure if this is valid. Have you heard about safety issues with either product?
Thanks,
Joelle
