pressure washers Posted by tomh on June 9th, 2003 10:26 AM In reply to Recommended PSI? by Frank on June 9th, 2003 08:43 AM [Go to top of thread]
2500 PSI is fine for cleaning siding, decks, concrete and all other home chores. A 3600 psi washer is a commercial unit and will const considerably more, and unless you routinely clean off-road equipment (bull dozers, loging trucks), probably is not necessary. But you would have a washer capable of blasting a hole is just about any non-metal surface known to man (Tim Allen grunts)!
Get the 2500 psi washer with a good OHC 5-HP motor and be sure you get the 5 or 6 nozzles, not an adjustable wand. You should be able to safety do any of the work you mentioned, and you could still blast holes in your siding with the pencil tip.
Regarding the gas tank original post. Buy a new one. This is an inexpensive and easily replaced part. Spilled gasoline on hot engines is a really bad idea. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
