I am in the process of painting mine. So far I have used an exterior latex paint, paint peeled right off. Then oil based enamel exterior paint, that peeled off too. I was told that you have to prime with oil based primer. I am doing that today and I will let you know how that worked. Just be careful and try one shutter.
