The easiest method to cutting the countertop is with a circular saw and you need no special blade. All you need do is turn the countertop over so that you are cutting while looking at the bottom. By cutting it in this position the rotation of the saw blade and teeth is now up against the formica or solid surface. This eliminates chipping and provides a much straighter cut that a sabre, jig or other type of saw. Only saw that is superior is a radial arm saw.
