Pella casements installed 1986. Exterior "brickmold" (narrow) trim badly deteriorating on southside where exposed to all sun all weather all the time. A contractor has suggested cladding this exterior trim w/aluminum & soldering the mitered corners. Can any experienced home contractor out there advise whether this is a good or bad idea?
