I've had some more time to think about this and came up with some more ideas.
You could put a wall paper border around them. Make sure that it is stripable or you won't be able to get it off when you get ready to move.
You could use some interesting drapery tassels for an unusual handle/pull.
You could put a "cover plate & handle" combo over the current dimple pull.
On the bottom cabinets, you could put a stip of velcro around the counter edge and put "curtains" over the bottom doors - making a kind of skirt. If you do this, make sure and do the panels in small sections so you can more easily open your cabinet doors.
You could wrap the cabinet doors with fabric - fastening it on the inside of the door with small staples.
You could edge the top of the cabinets with "rope light".
You could remove the top cabinet doors completely and store them until you are ready to move.
I don't know how thick the doors are but you might be able to put a thin metal panel on the front of them and hold it in place with some hefty magnets from the back. This idea is kinda' out there - it will either surprisingly work or will fail completely .
