Kitchen Cabinets

Thanks Doug, I just don't know how handles would look. They're those ugly cabinets, like formica, with wood trim along the bottom that is wedged to form the "handle". We are in the basement, basically, it's a bi-level style house, and we're on the bottom level, so we don't have really high ceilings, I don't think we could do crown moulding.

I would like to remove the ugly wall paper from the walls and paint...maybe I should start there and it will make me happy enough with the cabinets?!
