Wow, Judy, I think I like the border idea! That might be a great idea, especially if I remove the ugly wallpaper from the walls, and just paint. I could put a border all the way around the room...and on the cabinets.
I also like the idea of removing the cabinet doors and leaving it open, but I know my DH would never go for that!
Curtains along the bottom wouldn't work, it would get dirty too easily.
