Thanks Joe. Not knowing the first thing about switches, do I need to get the old one out and take it with me or is there a "standard" 3-speed fan switch I can ask for? This is a Hampton Bay fan which I understand is made exclusive for Home Depot. Both stores are within a mile from my house. You may be hearing from me more than you want once I get the new switch!
