building a outdoor brick barbeque

Recently we were browsing locally for a bew BBQ -
natural gas and have come up with the idea to build a brick frame around the new grill however then cam several questions about heat, support etc. Is is possible to just buy the portable BBQ and sit it in our own homemade brick structure?
