Weird Craftsman 139.53684 Keyless entry

My keypad no longer can open the door when attached to the outside frame. When removed, and in my hand, it operates fine..in any position; but reinstall it by screws in it's former spot, and it's dead! My wife stuck her finger in the slot where the mounting screw would rest on the back of the keypad, and it activated the door!!!! This keypad operated fine for two years, but now seems haunted. I hang it by only one screw and remove it for use. Anyone else have any ideas for a cure to this dilemma? my other three remotes work fine, as does the master conrol console. Was this post helpful?
