Yes, a circular saw with a diamond toothed blade for this application will work fine. But, I would NOT use my good every day saw, second I would get all the eye protection and lung protection possible, and second GO SLOW.
MEASURE THREE TIMES CUT ONCE. CHECK FOR ELECTRICAL TOO.
