my kitchen counter tops have a bad odor which is obvious when you open a drawer...i have used kilz to paint them but it didn't help, FYI-the cabinets are metal except for the formica counter tops so i am sure the smell is the wood that the tops are made of...what can i do?
also, visitors say the house smells like old wood or old people have lived there, i dont know how else to describe the odors (i sometimes smell them in antique shops)but they are thru out the home. it was lived in by old people and never had any cooling other than evaporative. it is very noticeable on hot humid days, which are rare in west texas but do happen this time of year...advice?
