HELP! We are having the same problem with the tiny "lock" icon - can't get rid of it, can't change temp, etc.

HELP! I'm renting a house with a LUX 1500 hermostat and I've had no problems until now. here's a picture of a "lock" on the thermostat and I can't get in to override the temperature to re-set. It's hot and humid outside and it's getting hot inside as well. Can anyone tell me how to take off the "lock?"
