I have been working with and refinishing antique furniture for some time now. One question that always comes back again and again is about pine. I am trying to get that honey glow color out of many differt pine pieces and they always end up darker than I wanted. I have tried rubbing and washing in mineral spirits and bleaching. These methods do not work. After all the paint is removed how do you go about getting the light glow back.
