Removal of Wainscoating Adhesive

Posted by Julia A. Toth on June 22nd, 2003 02:41 PM

I just pryed off all of the wainscoating from my bathroom walls. I am left with walls which were undoubtedly first painted with lead-based paint, and which have large patches of hard, thick, brown adhesive all over them. What would be the best way to go about removing the adhesive? Is there any type of a solvent that might help? Thanks for your help!
