We also bought an older mobile home to use as a get away. The flooring was terrible, we left it as is and put 3/4 inch plywood over it all and used screws to install. We were then able to put our choice of tile, ceramic tile, or carpet on it. On the walls we painted them all with KILZ then applied a finish coat.
