Have the wires changed to 2 Blacks and a Single Red? That's a normal 3-way configuration......

The blacks are the travelers....and the red is the common wire.....of course the green is the ground........

The common wire on the old switch is the odd colored screw.........

......Don't Have the OLD switch....or Haven't marked the wires?.....
