down here in Texas where its very hot in the summers. you can really tell the difference between 2x6 well insulated walls versus 2x4 standard insulated walls. you can go with a thicker fiberglass insulation batt in the 2x6walls plus you get greater structural strength too as additional plus in case you live in areas of hurricanes. material cost will be greater but well worth it in the long run.
