*PLS HELP -- Wet Basement Wall and MORE* Posted by VIdhya on June 25th, 2003 11:25 AM In reply to Wet insulation inside wall by Joel B. on April 15th, 2003 08:49 AM [Go to top of thread]
Hi Bob,
We have multiple problems or so it seems:
1)The laundry line pipe was blocked(a plumber says he fixed it, though I'm not sure) and there is a laundry line leakage which causes the concrete garage wall -- which is the next room -- outside to become damp
2)When you run the dishwasher and the kitchen faucet a plumber noticed that the insulation in the basement getting more moist..
3)The basement wall and the insulation -which is right below the laundry room - is wet and the wall below moist and damp. There is an ugly damp water circle
We know the problem could stem from either the dishwasher, the washer, the kithcen faucet...or could there be some other culprit - like poor drainage, overflowing septic tank...I doubt it BUT I REALLY WANT TO MAKE 100 SURE!!!!!
HOW WILL I KNOW FOR SURE???? We're on a tight budget and want to do the right thing.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Vidhya. Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
