Damp Crawl Space Posted by Deb on June 25th, 2003 08:28 PM In reply to Damp Crawl Space by Mike Rowley on May 4th, 2001 07:40 AM [Go to top of thread]
We live in VA, and have had very heavy rains for the last two months. The crawl space under our house has always been dry, is covered by a moisture shield/tarp, and the sump pump worked fine. But, during some of the heaviest rains, the sump pump failed and the entire crawl space is now damp. Is it ever possible to get this area entirely dry again? And, how do we do that? We've got a dehumidifier in the room outside the crawl space, and it's sucking up moisture in the house, but the dirt in the crawl space is still wet. What do we do??? Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
