Your concern is valid. Lag bolts are not sufficient to hold together a delaminating glue-lam beam, especially if the delamination is occuring between layers. Since this appears to be holding up half your house, I would recommend you have it evaluated by a qualified engineer or builder. Cracks can occur from a variety of causes. The cause of the crack needs to be evaluated, and the degree of structural weakening understood to recommend an appropriate solution. It is possible the beam does not require repair, but you should not take that chance. There are a number of repair options, but none of them are a DIY proposition without at least professional structural design input.
