carpeted stair treads

After looking for the type of carpeted stair treads I wanted, and finding nothing that looked like I had hoped, I bought a runner that I really liked, and had it cut and bound at a remnant store. The going rate is a dollar a foot. So, for each tread that measured 2 ft. by 9 inches, I paid $4 (since the sides of the runner were already bound). And, I got the exact pattern I wanted. It only took a couple of days for the remnant store to do it. I hope this helps. . .the braided ones and those oriental patterned and solids were the only things I had found online or by catalogue, and it really wasn't what I wanted. Was this post helpful?
