My son lives in an apartment in NY (Brooklyn) and wants to install a window A/C unit. I'm pretty familiar with how to do this, but there is a twist. He wants to install it at the TOP of a double-hung window opening. He tells me this is common up there. What kind of hardware is necessary for this type of installation? Is it still a do-it-yourself level project or would he need a professional? Who would do such work?
