Finishing trim after entry and sliding doors professionally installed

We bought Pella doors and are having them installed by the recommended contractors. To save money we agreed to "finish the interior trim" ourselves. The problem is I don't know what that job requires. Do we just paint/stain the unfinshed wooden areas after they install the doors? Do we rehang the moulding around the door when they are done? Can anyone please explain what our responsibilities will be? Thank you.
