What you have to do first is check with the Building super or Owner. If he can't answer your question then there is the building dept located Downtown Brooklyn. I know that most apt's have a sleave under the window for A/C units. In NYC they are very strict on what you Can and Can't do.Save yourself a lot of headaches and/or Lawsuits and do it the proper way.I haven't seen that type of A/C installed in years.
