old phone line problem

I have an old phone line that has 8 wires, which doesn't have the new standard wiring of red, black, white, green. How can I find the proper wiring to the new phone jack for just one phone line? The solid colors are blue, orange, brown, green, and then the 4 colors alternating with white.
