garage interior walls

We are currently building a new garage and I need ideas for finishing the interior walls. I will do drywall if I can't think of anything else; but, I want to enjoy using it and not constantly worry about damage. Our boys, 12 and 8, will be taking their motorcycles and bicycles in and out constantly. Someone mentioned wainscoting but I would love to hear of other ideas. Peg board, cork, I don't know. Help!
