I can recommend Genie from personal experience. We installed two Genie garage door openers 20 years ago. I think they were belt driven. Four years ago we replaced one of the openers with a Genie screw drive and have been happy with it. The other 20 year old opener is still in service and has never required any maintenance or repair. As far as noise goes, the two openers sound different but one type is not quieter than the other.
