I recently installed a new 1 hp GE pool pump. This replaced my old pump. The pump worked fine for about 2 weeks. Now, whenever I turn the pump off, I have to wait about 8-10 hours before I can turn it back on. If I turn it off and try to turn it right back on I just get a low hum. This is obviously some sort of thermal protection on the pump.
Any ideas as to what the problem could be? I did not have this problem with the old pump. The new pump is 230V connected to a 230V circuit.
