I am painting a living room and dining room that has chair rail. I was thinking of painting the top portion a lighter color of yellow with the bottom part a darker shade. My problem is the fireplace is divided by the chair rail. It is all white woodwork and FP. Would it look better to paint it all one color? The rooms run together with the kitchen so I have no stopping point. Any suggestions? Also what is best interior coverage paint.
