I had a white spot on my oak kitchen table top. It was made from hot plate directly on the wood surface. I used a hair dryer pointed directly on the white spot until the wood became warm to the feel. Took about 5 mins to warm up the wood. Then I took some Awesome (Orange) cleaning solution in a spray bottle and sprayed it directly on the white spot. I used a cloth to rub the white spot out. You may have to repeat heating up the area you want to get the white spot out of several times but it works. I bought the Awesome (Orange) degreaser cleaner at the Family Dollar Store for $1.00.
