Well, our contractor came back over to fix our floors, and said it would be a big job. But he wants to make it right for us, so he's going to strip off the oil-based polyurethane. He's going to do this with some water-based solvent. Is this correct? Then he's going to lightly sand down the floor, and apply a water-based polyurethane to the floor. Hopefully this will work and we can move back upstairs. Any information about the stripping agent used would be helpful. I don't want our floors messed up a second time.
