co-ordinating colors for counter tops with natural oak cabinet

I am remodelling my kitchen and I can't seem to decide on colors for my counter tops and the same formica to go up the wall to the under part of the cabinets. Need some hints on colors or design for counter tops and wall to match or co-ordinating colors.
