well adhered to the wall. over time the paint may tend to make the wall paper loosen from the wall...but if not loose on edges and voids in the middle painting over the wall paper should be fine. Others may recommend against it but I personally feel it shoold be fine to do so. Of course the best approach would be to remove the paper from the walls first but that could become quite involved if the paper is old. LJ
