i appreciate all the info. i probably will not reuse the insulation. this room has a new metal door and four smaller, newer windows. what i plan to have done is to move the metal door to the inside wall and it will be the entry door into the house. also, into this same wall i want to put two of the windows that are now in this unheated room. mainly because the living room is so dark and i need more natural light in it. i plan on just a screen door for the porch. i need to find one of those fancy type screen doors with the gingerbread type trim inside the frame. so i'll probably use batt fiberglass insulation. i'm hoping this turns out the way i want. it's on the east side if the house facing a lot with no house and lots of trees. good for getting the sun in the morning and shade in the evening, without those damn mosquitoes who so enjoy sucking my blood!
