Since this appears to be lightning related, you might be better off to file a claim against your homeowners insurance. You may have to pay the deductible but that is probably a lot less than possibly having to replace everything electrical with a screen. If your problem is indeed a community surge, an extra blast of electricity that came over the electric wires or cable from the lightning, this can cause all sorts of weird problems with electrical equipment. You should have particularly seceptible items plugged into surge-supressing outlets. If you do have these, you may also have insurance through the people that made them.
