removing the glue from vinyl tiles Posted by cynthia cash on July 7th, 2003 08:40 PM In reply to REMOVING VINYL FLOORING/LINOLEUM by Therese McGourty on May 25th, 2003 10:26 PM [Go to top of thread]
Hi - I am in the process of stripping my 1961 vintage home of it's former vinyl 12" x 12" tiles. To be installed is the True-Wood vinyl flooring from Metro-Flor. Great product w/a life-time residential warranty. But, to receive the warranty, it has to be applied on a clean concrete sub-slab. I now have all the vinyl tiles removed (don't ask, it was a bear of a job), but now there is still a thin layer of brownish colored glue. Can you please suggest a solvent for this glue??? Because of the risk of asbestos, I can not sand.
Thanks, Cynthia Cash Was this post helpful? Yes: or No:
