I am partial to lennox I have installed them and worked on them for years with relatively few problems. Now to stop selling. It doesn't matter what brand you put in. A badly installed carrier will not work for sh#t. Find an installation company that you like. Whether that means that they have the best reputation or that they have the best warranty is up to you. My advice is to find a company that has been in operation for at least 5 years ten is best. This tells you that they are not just going to take your money and run. Next survey your friends and neighbours. Most of my companys advertising is through word of mouth. If your friends were comfortable letting this company into their house and like their work that says a lot. Next look for liscence #s if they apply in your area. Beware of guys who automatically bid low. They might find all sorts of silly things to increase the bill once they get started. Best is to sign a contract saying how much you will pay and get a copy. Granted there are certain things that will increase a budget but if he is going way up, time to cut loose. I would look for a co with a good record. Beware of the better busseness bureau. While I agree with their basic principle one disgruntled customer can sway the results. If one person thinks that they charge too much, I wouldnt pay too much heed.; What I would do is talk to everyone I know. Find out what the thought of thew crew that was sent to do the job, THe quality of the installation, the qualityof the servive department, the type of warranty...etc..
The worst thing that you can do is try to be cheap You have to live in this house for the rest of you life. Do you want to be uncomfortable when you are 65 just to save a few bucks. Remember a poorly installed brand name system will perform just as well as a properly installed crap name system

let us know how you decide
